Numit syrup contains ondansetron, an oral solution that is a selective 5-HT3 receptor antagonist that works by blocking serotonin signals in the gastrointestinal tract and the chemoreceptor trigger zone (CTZ) to prevent nausea and vomiting. This liquid is especially suitable for both pediatric patients as well as adults who are unable to swallow tablets. Dosage & Administration: Use only the device included with this product to measure your dose. Use your doctor's directions regarding dose. Shake well before use, if using as a suspension. Precautions: Patients with hepatic impairment should be treated with caution; as well, any patient considered high risk for an altered QT interval should be monitored for changes in the QT interval. Side Effects: Certain side effects may occur such as: headache, constipation, dizziness, and flushing of the skin. Storage: Store at room temperature. Avoid temperatures greater than room temperature as well as exposure to light. Keep this medication out of the reach of children.
