How It Works:

Flavonoid glycosides and terpenoid lactones found within ginkgo leaf extracts inhibit the action of platelets, which contribute to poor circulation via dilation of blood vessels in the brain and extremities. Antioxidant activity protects neural cells against oxidative damage thereby enhancing your ability to think clearly and recall memory.

Dosage & Administration:

• Your doctor will prescribe the appropriate dose ? typically either 120mg once or twice a day
• You need to complete the entire treatment because you may notice cognitive benefits only after several weeks
• Take the ginkgo with food to help prevent any stomach upset

Precautions:

• Be sure to tell your doctor about any medications you are taking to thin your blood; ginkgo may increase the effect of these medications
• If you are planning to have surgery, discontinue using ginkgo at least two weeks before the procedure because ginkgo has an antiplatelet effect
• Do not use any ginkgo if you have had a seizure disorder unless otherwise directed by your physician.

Potential adverse consequences:
