Product Description:

Dufen Tablet contains Aceclofenac 100mg, an NSAID used for the relief of pain and inflammation associated with various conditions. It is widely prescribed for osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, dental pain, and general musculoskeletal pain. Aceclofenac is well tolerated and is often preferred over older NSAIDs due to its relative gastrointestinal safety.

How It Works:

Aceclofenac inhibits the cyclooxygenase (COX) enzyme, particularly COX-2, which is responsible for the production of prostaglandins in inflamed tissue. It is considered a preferential COX-2 inhibitor, which contributes to its improved gastrointestinal safety compared to non-selective NSAIDs.

Dosage & Administration:

• Take one tablet twice daily as prescribed by your doctor, or as directed
• Complete the full course of treatment even if symptoms improve before the course ends
• Always take with food or milk to reduce the chance of stomach irritation

Precautions:

• Avoid this medicine if you are allergic to Aceclofenac or other NSAIDs like aspirin or diclofenac
• Use with caution if you have a history of stomach ulcers, high blood pressure, or heart disease
• Inform your doctor about all medicines you are currently taking to avoid harmful drug interactions

Possible Side Effects:

• Nausea or indigestion
• Abdominal pain or stomach upset
• Diarrhoea or constipation
• Headache or dizziness (uncommon)
