11. HEPPAN TABLET HEPPAN 300mg UDCA pills are designed to help dissolve gallstones, treat primary biliary cholangitis, and provide liver cell protection from bile acid-induced injury. Available by prescription only. Hepatoprotective and choleretic properties of HEPPAN (udca, 300 mg) come from its active ingredient, which is a natural bile acid (ursodeoxycholic acid). By decreasing cholesterol in bile, HEPPAN causes cholesterol gallstones to dissolve and helps to protect liver cells from the adverse effects of hydrophobic bile acids present in persons with chronic liver disease.

Diarrhea, pruritus, and mild nausea may occur.
