24. NUMIT DT TAB Composition: ONDANSETRON ORALLY DISINTEGRATING TABLET SUMMARY NUMIT DT Tab is a form of alternate delivery that helps quickly relieve the symptoms of post-operative nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or surgical procedure (prescription medication).
NUMIT DT is a formulation of Ondansetron in the form of an orally-disintegrating tablet (ODT) that dissolves quickly under the tongue without requiring any additional fluid for dissolution, thus it is an excellent option for patients experiencing difficulty in swallowing following surgery and/or chemotherapy use with nausea. Ondansetron is classified as a selective 5-HT3 receptor antagonist; it works to inhibit the serotonin receptor of cells located both in the gut as well as within central nervous system tissues from producing nausea and/or vomiting.
Put tablet under tongue and wait for it to dissolve and swallow. Do not chew or swallow tablets whole. Take as Prescribed by Physician.
