Product Description:

Mefgil DS Suspension is a paediatric liquid formulation containing Paracetamol 250mg and Mefenamic Acid 100mg per dose. It provides combined analgesic and antipyretic action for children suffering from pain and fever. It is commonly prescribed for tooth pain, earache, post-vaccination discomfort, and fever with body pain in children.

How It Works:

Paracetamol acts centrally to raise the pain threshold and lower fever by acting on hypothalamic heat regulation. Mefenamic Acid inhibits COX enzymes to reduce prostaglandin synthesis, providing additional anti-inflammatory and analgesic action. Together, they address both the fever and pain components effectively in children.

Dosage & Administration:

• Administer the suspension only as prescribed by your child's doctor ? the dose depends on the child's weight and age
• Shake the bottle well before measuring each dose
• Complete the full prescribed course and do not give an extra dose if one is missed, without consulting the doctor

Precautions:

• Do not give other medicines containing Paracetamol or Mefenamic Acid at the same time to avoid overdose
• Inform your paediatrician if the child has any liver, kidney, or stomach condition
• Do not use in infants below the age recommended on the prescription

Possible Side Effects:
