How It Works:

The medicine Doxylamine (antihistamine) works by stopping signals from reaching your brain so you don't feel nauseous anymore. The medicine Pyridoxine (a Vitamin B6 supplement) helps manage chemicals called neurotransmitters that affect your body's response to nausea during pregnancy. In the first trimester, taking Folic Acid helps with building DNA and reducing chances of developing a deficiency during pregnancy that can affect how the baby grows.

Dosage & Administration:

• Take this medication exactly as prescribed by your physician; the timing and dose you take will be very important when you are pregnant
• Do not miss any doses; however many doses you start out on should be followed until your doctor tells you otherwise
• The medication should normally be taken at night before bedtime; the tablet should be swallowed whole (do not chew)

Precautions:

• Use only if pregnant with your doctor's consent; not for general nausea.
• May cause drowsiness; do not drive or operate any machinery after taking this medicine.
• Let your doctor know about any other medications you are taking so that he/she can help you avoid any interactions.

Side Effects:
